"Cotton matting" unable to comb out for clippers (undercoat like a wet rug). "Clump Matts" (clumps can't be combed out) will be cut off to remove.

NOTE on "COTTON MATTING" : brush your dog out, now get a regular comb, if after a reasonable effort, you can not comb thru to skin and back, this is "cotton" matting. It some times can be deceiving on Maltese, poodle, bichons, (or mix breeds including one of the three). Every effort is made to comb thru this type of matting but only for as long as dog will sit thru, (usually an hour at best). Extra charge
